The 1914/15 Star trio issued to 10/1 Walter Cousins who served over four years during the Great War including Gallipoli, Egypt and the Western Front. Issued the lowest number for the Wellington Battalion.

 

Walter's service file is extremely limited, but it does show that he was appointed lance-corporal in May 1915 before transferring to Divisional Headquarters in July 1915. His service thereafter appears to have been entirely with Div HQ.

 

The trio is correctly impressed 10/1 L/CPL W. COUSINS N.Z.E.F. 

The group comes with Walter's large RSA badge corectly engraved with his service number and a small RSA badge.
