The Memorial Plaque issued to the next-of-kin of 24/463 Cpl. George Handyside, who died of wounds on 20th January 1918 from wounds received in late December 1917. George saw service with the NZ Rifle Brigade in the Senussi Campaign before transferring to the NZ Machine Gun Corps in March 1916.
